Kathryn Bergmann certified coach

I help people find direction in their careers and create an exciting professional future.

We often rely on our career for much of our happiness. The average person spends at least 40 hours a week working, so it’s fair to conclude we want to enjoy the work we do.

If you’re feeling unsure or stagnant in your career, these difficult feelings will help us better understand what is important to you.

I believe you can build a career that you truly enjoy. And it shouldn’t feel like work at all - it can feel as energizing and important as the other things you do, like gardening, traveling, or spending time with friends and family. When your work aligns with your strengths and values, you feel better and you perform better. Identifying these values and skills will take your career in the right direction.

I work with people at every point of their professional path. I work best with clients who are open to new ideas, will step out of their comfort zone, and are motivated to make changes.

You don’t have to know the direction you’re headed, you just need to commit to moving forward. I’ll be there to guide you along the way.

Training & Experience

I received my Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certification through the International Coach Federation (ICF). I continue to receive advanced coaching training through the SeattleCoach Professional Training and Development Program. This program is aligned with and accredited by the ICF, which is recognized as the world's leading body dedicated to advancing the profession and reflects numerous hours of training and experience.

I hold a BA degree in Human Resources & Management from Washington State University and a MA degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Seattle Pacific University.

Prior to becoming a professional coach, I worked in health care, finance, technology and retail industries as an organizational development and human resources professional. My passion has always been to help people recognize their value as a professional.

A note about therapy vs coaching: In coaching a person typically is forward looking. They may glance back to look forward, but the primary focus is what’s next and how to get there. If there are things in the past that might need attention in order to focus on the coaching agenda, I may suggest bringing a licensed therapist to your life team.
